Facatativa retrievers (commonly known as reeyelers), who contribute to reducing the volume of solid waste that reaches the Mondoñedo Sanitary Landfill, were trained by “Foundation Prolongar” as part of an integral project in alliance with the government, the municipality’s mayor´s office, Tetra Park and Exxon Mobil.

Through body awareness, movement and role-playing, we strengthened the social-emotional skills of 36 retrievers in 2015, promoting conflict transformation, community building and participant’s empowerment.

We worked on the three dimensions of the Prolongar methodology and did a training of trainers with local officials, promoting local sustainability.
